This is the vinyl edition, a 8-LP set. This edition was released on October 27, 2017.

Limited eight vinyl LP box set from Canadian hard rockers Max Webster. This vinyl edition also includes a poster, a Universal Juveniles fan club ID card and an introductory foreword by Q107 radio host John Derringer. The Party 1976 - 82 includes the entire Max Webster catalogue newly remastered, plus The Bootleg featuring exclusive unreleased studio and live songs remixed by Terry Brown and Greg Wells and the long-out of print Kim Mitchell self-titled EP. Formed in 1973, Max Webster soon became one of the most original and popular rock bands in Canada. Their first three albums, Max Webster (1976), High Class in Borrowed Shoes (1977) and Mutiny Up My Sleeve (1978) achieved gold status in Canada. Their platinum selling album A Million Vacations (1979) saw the first single "Let Go The Line" reach #41 on the Canadian charts and the follow up "A Million Vacations" hit #80 in Canada. The album's third and final single "Paradise Skies" reached #21 in Canada and #43 on the UK Singles chart. The band appeared on Top of the Pops in 1979 and headlined two New Year's Eve shows at Toronto's Maple Leaf Gardens. The band went on to be twice nominated for JUNO Awards for 'Group of the Year' in 1980 and 1981 respectively.

Best of is a rock compilation by Max Webster on Universal Int'l. This is the CD edition. This edition was released on November 9, 1995.

From Issued prior to the individual releases of Max Webster's entire catalogue, this collection offers a well-paced and reasonably comprehensive overview of the band's career. Hit singles and arena headlining status eluded them, but the band built up an impressive cache of albums and songs in their six years together, and through extensive touring (often as support act for labelmates Rush) were able to establish a small but dedicated following. While they had some radio success with "Paradise Skies" and "Let Go the Line" (written and sung by keyboardist Terry Watkinson), their harder-edged but quirky style is better represented by tracks like "The Party," "Hangover," and "Battle Scar" (featuring a guest vocal from Geddy Lee). The song "Kids in Action," actually from the first Kim Mitchell solo EP, is exclusive to this set. Despite the hideous cover art and bare-bones packaging, the sound quality is very good on most tracks--surprising for a CD mastered in 1989. --Eric WilsonProduct DescriptionMax Webster

The Best Of Max Webster is a rock and progressive rock compilation by Max Webster on Anthem/Universal Music Group.
