From Bee Gees comes One Night Only, a classical and pop album on Capitol. This is the CD edition. This edition was released on August 11, 2017.
Brothers Barry, Maurice, and Robin Gibb made musical history for close to four decades with their magnificent vocal harmonies and ever-evolving styles. Masters of orchestral pop, blue-eyed soul and R&B, dazzling dance grooves, and disco fever alike-as well as uniquely blended hybrids of all these genres and more-the Bee Gees delivered album classics and top chart hits throughout their enduring career. Recorded live in Las Vegas at the end of 1997, this is something of a musical journey over 30 years long, ranging from the Bee Gees' early hits ("Massachusetts", "Words") through to the late 1970s when they emerged at the forefront of the disco explosion. The movie Saturday Night Fever saw their revival as they provided the soundtrack with classics like "Stayin' Alive", "You Should Be Dancing" and "Jive Talkin'". One night Only also takes in a number of tracks that were written by the Bee Gees for other artists such as "Islands In The Stream" and "Immortality"--during which the trio are joined on stage by Celine Dion. --Carina Trimingham --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.
