Description Shipping information

From Beth Orton comes The Ground Above, a folk, electronic and indie album on Partisan Records. This is the CD edition. This edition was released on June 26, 2026.

If 2022's album, Weather Alive, lived underwater, suspended, spectral, and dreamlike, The Ground Above marks a resurfacing. It is Beth's most direct and unapologetic music to date; profoundly urgent, embodied, and powered by a new found strength. Where the previous record unfolded in a post-ictal, time-out-of-time dreamscape, The Ground Above finds Orton firmly back on land, taking a giant intake of air. It documents survival, integration, renewal, and acceptance without resignation.
