From Charles Lloyd Quartet comes Jazz Workshop Boston 1972, a jazz album on Equinox. This is the CD edition. This edition was released on September 13, 2024.

Performed at the Jazz Workshop, Boston, MA on December 5th 1972, for broadcast on WBCN-FM radio, just a week after the release of his crossover classic Waves (1972) this gig sees Charles Lloyd pivot back to his transcendental brand of acoustic jazz in the company of his quartet featuring the excellent, if little known, guitarist Tom Trujillo. The music is led in equal parts by Lloyd's Coltrane inspired sax and trademark meandering flute. Charles Lloyd - saxophone, flute; Tom Trujillo - guitar; Sherman McKinney - bass; Woody 'Sonship' Theus - drums.
