Coldseed, the band featuring former Blind Guardian and current Savage Circus drummer Thomen Stauch and Soilwork singer Bjorn Speed Strid, surprised the entire metal community with their modern, melodic and sophisticated new brand of heavy music. As well as these already renowned founding members, Coldseed also features Thorsten Praest on guitar, Blind Guardian / Sieges Even bassist Oli Holzwarth, Spanish guitarist Gonzalo Alfageme López and Blind Guardian keyboardist Mi Schüren. Mixed by Gamma Ray bassist Dirk Schlächter and Rage engineer Charly Czajkowsky and produced by Michael Schüren, the music on Completion Makes the Tragedy sounds quite unique; indeed, it's hard to find anything like it among currently-existing musical styles. The German, Swedish and Spanish group began writing their stirring music in the middle of 2004. In February 2005, the band began recording their debut album. Coldseed caught the attention of Nuclear Blast in the Spring of 2005. Convinced they had found the perfect label for their band, they ultimately signed a deal in November. In April 2006, the mixing session ended and the album was subsequently mastered at Indiscreet Audio by Achim Köhler, who then optimised Coldseed´s unmistakable sound. Completion Makes the Tragedy shifts between darkness and light and the quintet seamlessly melds the dissimilar worlds of aggressive, melodic power metal and modern heavy rock / crossover elements while creating a distinct sound of its own. The mixture of Björn´s heavy, melodic vocals and Thomen´s wide-ranging, powerful drumming style combined with Thorsten´s & Gonzalo´s heavy riffs, Oli´s bass lines, and Mi´s modern keys slams into the listener with the force of a head-on crash and reveals the group's superior sense for powerful, innovative and timeless song-writing. This is the sound of tomorrow's metal. New edition re-released on Golden Disc, limited and numerated to 2000 copies.
