Dizzy's Big 4 is a jazz and classical album by Dizzy Gillespie on Fantasy. This is the Remastered CD edition. This edition was released on September 24, 2013.
Originally recorded in 1974, Dizzy's Big 4 consists of Joe Pass on guitar, Ray Brown on bass, Mickey Roker on drums, and, of course, the legendary Dizzy Gillespie; one of the greatest, if not the greatest, Jazz trumpeters of all time. This is truly one of Gillespie's best small-group recordings from the latter portion of his career, and is a necessary addition to all Jazz collections. This newly remastered edition features two previously unreleased bonus tracks not on the original album! Originally released in 1990. This 2013 pressing.
