Facing a strict deadline, gossip columnist Peter Carlton (Robert Young) begins developing the larger-than-life tale of "Mrs. Smythe-Smythe," a danger-seeking, world-travelling, and undeniably charming woman. The fictional woman even hunts big game and jumps out of airplanes for fun! It's a tale that's sure to keep readers entertained. But what is Carlton to do when the real "Mrs. Smythe-Smythe" shows up in person? Jessie Matthews stars as "Mrs. Smythe-Smythe," the adventurous, completely fictional, woman who may just be more interested in hunting for her big break as opposed to tigers. With these two conning each other, this can only be a delightful British romantic comedy!
