CRASHBOX BUILDS ON MONKEY HOUSE'S CHART-TOPPING SUCCESS, BLENDING JAZZ, ROCK, AND POP WITH SOPHISTICATED SONGWRITING AND WORLD-CLASS MUSICIANSHIP.The seventh album from internationally acclaimed jazz/pop ensemble Monkey House, Crashbox arrives as a Special Limited Collector's Edition LP, pressed with audiophiles and collectors in mind. Formed in 1992 by Emmy-winning songwriter and producer Don Breithaupt, Monkey House solidified its core lineup with Headquarters (2012) -- guitarist Justin Abedin, bassist Pat Kilbride, and drummer Mark Kelso -- alongside producer Peter Cardinali and Grammy-winning engineer John "Beetle" Bailey. With Crashbox, the team continues its tradition of meticulous studio craft while pushing the band's sound into new territory. This Collector's Edition LP was recorded, mixed, and mastered in ultra-high 24bit/192kHz resolution, then cut at 45 RPM across a 2-disc set, delivering unrivaled sonic detail. Pressed on 180-gram custom turquoise virgin vinyl, the release is as visually striking as it is musically immersive. Crashbox blends jazz, rock, pop, and R&B with fresh energy. The mood is brighter than its predecessor Remember the Audio (2022), while still tackling weighty themes -- from the lively funk of What's Left of This World to the breezy New York vibes of lead single Someplace on Madison. The album's title track captures the media whirlwind with catchy, complex precision, while the tender piano ballad Disappear in Plain Sight (penned by Marc Jordan) offers a moment of quiet beauty. Special guests enrich the sound:•Michael Leonhart (Steely Dan) - trumpet•Drew Zingg (Boz Scaggs) - guitar•Marc Jordan - songwriter in "Disappear In Plain Sight"•Selena Evangeline - vocals•Michael Dunston - vocalsWith Crashbox, Monkey House once again raises the bar -- and this Special Limited Collector's Edition LP ensures that fans can experience it in the purest, most enduring form.TRACK LISTINGDisc 1: * Return of the Mayfly * Someplace On Madison * Crashbox * What's Left Of This World * Sundaying * Smoke 'Em If You Got 'Em * Bring The Stars Down * You Just Don't Know It Yet * Chasing The Muse * Friday Night Jam * Feeling You BreatheDisc 2: * Disappear in Plain Sight
