It takes more than human guts to dish out the beating that Louisville, KY's Nero gives the senses with the nearly 18-minute long improvisational album-closer, "Kwizzach Haderach." Within this track, dialogue samples from Dune are alternately buried and brought to the surface, while Nero relentlessly tweaks and hacks away at building a colossal, disturbing drone. It's absolutely maniacal - which is the best way to describe Nero. With guitars, bass, drums and vocals all armed with razors and needles, and a really scary stab at an oddball "concept album," Nero has designed an inspired piece of unforgettable mayhem. 8 tracks running 44 minutes.
