A routine trip to the moon is sabotaged by a fanatical author who believes in life on Mars. After taking over the spaceship, he and his kidnapped crew head for Mars. Command control back on Earth tries to figure out what's going on. What will they find on the red planet? Lots of space opera intrigue. The special effects, while somewhat primitive, aren't bad and add a certain charm to the proceedings. This is a well-made six-part Brit TV series on two discs.
