I'm Going Down To North Carolina is a country album by Red Fox Chasers on Tompkins Square. This is the CD edition, a 2-disc set. This edition was released on August 25, 2009.

Supposedly, banjo player Paul Miles learned to play using a homemade instrument crafted from a meal sifter and a groundhog hide! The first complete anthology of the string band's Appalachian fiddle tunes, ballads and rarities includes Wreck on the Mountain Road; Mississippi Sawyers; Looking to My Prayer; Virginia Bootleggers; Making Licker in North Carolina; Turkey in the Straw; Did You Ever See the Devil, Uncle Joe?; We Shall Meet on that Beautiful Shore, and more, all painstakingly remastered, plus notes by Kinney Rorrer!
