In ancient Japan, a treasonous underling overthrows his master. He buries his former boss, alive, inside a wall. When he takes after the wife, she drowns herself in a nearby swamp along with her cat, thus cursing the swamp for all time. Years later same despicable fellow commits a similar atrocity, slaying a young lord who refuses to hand over the woman he loves. They are both murdered in the same swamp. Soon the corrupt lord is faced with the supernatural vengeance of those he has slain.
